25 - 8 - 1

There have been several milestones and special events this past week.

First, I had my 25th birthday.
I decided I didn't want to have a social event this year, so Joe took me out on a date.
First we had dinner at Panda Express so I could have Orange Chicken, one of my favorite foods.
Then we went and saw the movie Up, in 3-D. It was super cute! Some of our favorite lines to quote are the dead squirrel joke, and "I hid under your porch because I love you!"
And then we went out for pie at Village Inn. Generally, I'm more of a cake sort of girl, but Joe and I have gotten into the show Pushing Daisies. We are really sad the show won't be continuing. But anyway, there's always such yummy looking pies on the show, that Joe and I had both been wanting to go out for pie for quite some time.
It was a nice night out on the town with my sweetheart.

Also last week, 2 of mine and Joe's nieces, Rose and Nora, turned 8 and decided to be baptized as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was a very special day. I love these girls so much! They are fun to be with and I enjoy the time I have to spend with them. I'm so proud of their good choices and I hope they remember how much they are loved.

And finally, Joe and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary.
We actually didn't officially celebrate it on the actual day, tho Joe did make me rasperry crepes for breakfast in bed. But for our celebration we went to the Cheesecake factory. So good!!! I ate too much, of course.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that this much time has gone by. I wouldn't trade the man I married for anyone else in the world. I'm truly grateful to have him as my eternal companion. He treats me so much better than I deserve, and I love having him by my side. This year together has been wonderful! Not everything has been a walk in the park; we have definitely had our challenges and ups and downs. I'm so grateful for all that Joe does to support me and take care of me.
I love that he can make me laugh. I'm grateful for his strength and patience.
There is definitely a whole lot more to look forward to in our future.

I love being Mrs. Joe Jensen!
