September

The first thing we did in September was go hang out on the football field and fly kites. Sure love these boys!
Then we took a trip to Denver to hang out with our friend Lisa and her family. Both Joe and I were friends with Lisa in college, but not at the same time. It had been over 7 years since we last saw each other, and our kids had never met. She has 2 boys - Jonathan and Aaron. Aaron is just a week older than Brek. The boys seemed to be immediate friends. Brek even got to join in on bath time.
The younger boys smiling for a picture. Right after I took this one, Jonathan turned his head over his shoulder and gave me a coy smile. I didn't capture it on film, but it was such a cute moment.
They all squished into one half of the tub
The next day we pulled out the water toys and the boys played in the backyard.
And later that afternoon we took the boys to play at McDonalds.
Coming down together. I love all their smiles and laughs and giggles.
Brek's new cheesy face
Joe's imitation of the cheesy face
This was some "choo choo whee" as Brek calls it.
Giving hugs goodbye
We loved our visit. Sadly, Lisa's hubby John had to work so we didn't get as much hang out time with him as we would have liked. It really was just a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Good thing Denver isn't too far away so we can do it again. :)

Here's Brek sporting some style as we head to the park. I don't think anyone else could pull it off.

Dressed in our Bulldog colors and headed to our first football game
Brek playing ball. I just love him in these overalls.
Brek has gotten into wearing daddy's hat. I think these pictures are so sweet.
For some reason these next 2 didn't turn. Oh well. Gotta capture that face anyway.
 Another day with the hat.
One of the disadvantages of a toddler bed over a crib is the ability to get out. If he fights bedtime or naptime at all, he comes and hangs out by the door and calls for us. Generally he will get back in bed, or if he's being too stubborn about it, we'll tell him through the door to get back and bed, and then you can hear his pitter-patter of feet as he runs back into bed. But this time, about half way through naptime I felt I should go check on him. I found him with his pillow, asleep right in front of the door. I could barely get my hand with the camera through, let alone my whole body.
