I had 1 day off during Joe's spring break, and I wanted to do something fun. We originally planned to drive north a ways and go to a baby animal days at a farm. But Brek had been running a fever off and on for several days, and the warm weather was suddenly replaced by clouds and wind and small non-sticking snow flurries. So instead we decided to stay local and went to the Thanksgiving Point farm.
We had a good time, even tho it was pretty cold. First we saw some baby chickens and baby ducks.
Then we went and saw some pregnant cows.
| Looking at some horses and ponies. |
| It was a great time to practice his animal sounds. |
| Getting close to pet the pony |
| Then we petted some cows. |
| Next we saw some rabbits. Not sure what noise they make. |
| Brek was a big fan of the ducks |
| More horses |
| And we saw lots of chickens |
| I loved the goats and sheep |
| They were very friendly |
| That little black baby sheep in the right side of the picture was "baa-ing" for his mommy. Brek was "baa-ing" back. |
| Such a cute baby sheep! |
| And of course we had to play on the big John Deere tractor |
| Brek wasn't so sure of its awesomeness. |
| Of course we had to see if he fit inside the wheel. |
The best part of our visit was that Brek got to have his first pony ride. He LOVED it! He started bouncing up and down/forward and back to get it to start moving. He even said "yee-haw!"
| Love that smile! |
| Petting his pony when he was all done. |
| And then in the gift shop on our way out he found this hat. |
We had a fun visit, and hope to go back again sometime soon.
